Try new movement practices
It’s usually easier to avoid unknown environments in life. Learning new movements, or spending time investing in yourself is generally time well spent. Most of us can benefit from trying new things, even if we’re not amazing at it yet. Neither were you amazing at much stuff when you were a kid. That didn’t stop you then, so should it stop you now? Neuroplasticity gives us all the ability to grow, individually and socially, but can also limit us if not regularly challenged.
That said, moving your joints in the full range of motion they’re intended for can give us greater mobility and joint strength, allowing you to move better and live with less pain in the long run.

The Energy Project was created around the belief that most people can improve their life by effectively training their mental and physical energy systems ‘Explore, Perform, and Revive’ are what we consider to be three integral aspects to our well-being.
Energy Project seeks to create an experience for people to explore and engage their world through movement and positive social interactions.
Our vision
Humans crave connection with other people as well as the environment around us. Physical exertion is also satisfying both physically and emotionally. We feel good when we connect and move, because it is built into us. Energy Project seeks to connect people in an approach to training that makes us feel good about ourselves. The physical training is just a part of the bigger picture that contributes to our happiness and well-being. Energy Project seeks to be an example of doing good in the world.

Unleash your true strength
Training that works multiple biological energy systems, with an empirically-based philosophy, yields long-term benefits. Becoming more autonomous in the physical sense engages our confidence in an emotional sense. Exercising smarter, not harder, facilitates a greater adaptation response than non-specific conditioning alone. Actually accomplish the goals you want.
Combining well-established principles of programming and coaching, and using implements like Olympic barbells, kettlebells up to 36kg, and sandbags up to 40kg, you’ll do what you didn’t think was possible before.

Train the mind to control your body
Training is often used as a band-aid for other lifestyle choices. Training without reviving can be like having the air conditioning pumping hard with all the windows open. It is another tool in your toolbox to recover faster, so you can explore and perform better.
Bringing your body back to homeostasis through controlled breath work, and facilitating greater awareness through mindful intent. Such practices that integrate a biopsychological approach unlock our ability to get physically stronger, and equally important, to be pragmatic about your well-being.
I was a client of Energy Project's group sessions for a couple of years before taking a break to have a baby. I suffered badly with back pain after the baby arrived and I trained 1:1 with Lydia who worked in conjunction with my physio to help me build a strong foundation and ultimately get me back lifting weights again. My squats and deadlifts have never felt better and I honestly move better than before I had my baby.
The Energy Project creates a fun atmosphere in which to exercise, and makes working out enjoyable and interesting.
Finding Energy Project and training with Lydia has truly been amazing. She always pushes me to do my best and makes sure I understand what we are doing and why we are doing it. For me it was important to find a personal trainer who listens to me and is supportive and I’ve definitely found that in Lydia. I always look forward to every session as Lydia and Ben have created such a fun and supportive environment to train in.
Energy Project has changed the way I think about health and fitness for the better. Ben and Lydia focus on long term, sustainable improvements to moving your body and feeling better about what it's capable of. I do a mixture of PT and classes and always look forward to the group training - love the positive vibe Ben and Lydia bring to classes.
I’ve been trying with Energy Project for about eighteen months and have never felt so fit, flexible and strong. Ben keeps the exercises varied and always moving toward a goal of improvement. Even after some quite serious surgery to my shoulder, Ben has been able to tailor my training to maximise the benefits. At 67 years of age, training with Energy Project is the best possible way of keeping the aging process at bay! Highly recommended.
First and foremost, I have to say that Ben and Lydia are amazing personal trainers. I've been working with them for a few years now, and I can honestly say that they have transformed my fitness journey.
